For me, living in Paris as a foreigner has been an interesting adventure full of new experiences and obstacles. This is my story from jobless in paris to a sustainable lgbtq fashion brand.
I've traveled internationally and worked in the hotel and aviation sectors, so I've seen firsthand the influence that our actions may have on the earth. That is why I chose to launch my own sustainable business in order to make a difference and match my profession with my principles.
Wow, the struggle was intense! I mean, I completed my hospitality business master's degree in Paris, but my French was more like "Oui oui, baguette, croissant" level. Needless to say, it made finding work difficult. But, hey, I'm not afraid of a challenge, especially when it comes to achieving my ambitions. So I embraced my situation, enrolled in French classes, and launched my own business. And guess what? So far, it's been a fantastic journey.
After my father's unexpected passing, I realized how precious life is and how important it is to pursue what makes us happy. Growing up in South Africa and working in the Middle East, it was challenging for me to express my true self. But when I moved to Paris, I found a community of like-minded individuals who inspired me to create a sustainable and LGBTQ-focused fashion brand.
Establishing my own fashion label was a huge endeavor, but it was a labor of passion for me. I spent months studying and constructing the distinct queer components you'll see on my website now. I wanted to provide something that would not only spark people's interests but would also encourage inclusiveness and exposure for the LGBTQ+ community. With the help of web hosting and printing companies like Shopify, Printful, and Pritify, I was able to bring my vision to life.
I feel incredibly grateful for the support of my loved ones throughout this journey. Their unwavering encouragement has been priceless, and my partner has been especially wonderful in giving me the freedom to pursue my business dreams. I'm filled with excitement as I look forward to where this path will lead me. And, ultimately, I hope that my designs will help people to express their unique identities and contribute to a more inclusive and visible world for the LGBTQ+ community.
